Lil' Wayne questioned over drugs possession
LIL WAYNE was forced to cancel a gig after he was held by police over possession of cannabis.
The rapper was held by Border Police in the US as he made his way to a scheduled concert in Laredo, Texas, after they found marijuana on his tour buses.
He and 11 other people travelling with him, were briefly questioned before being released, but the case has now been referred to the Brooks County Sheriff's Office.
The star, real name Dwayne Carter, postponed the Laredo gig just minutes before it was due to start.
He only recently pleaded guilty to gun charges, following a 2007 arrest in New York, where police found a gun on his tourbus.
Lil' Wayne is due to begin a year sentence on February 9, 2010, shortly after the proposed launch of his much-delayed new rock album 'Rebirth', which is now due for release on February
